Dining/Meeting

A perfect space for a grand dinner or a small business meeting.

Able to comfortably seat 14 for a meal, the dining room would also make a perfect place for a small business meeting. With extra tables, we are able to seat up to 30 people. The adjacent totara panelled entrance hall can seat a further 50 people.

Commercial Kitchen

A fully equipped and registered commercial kitchen is availablefor hire.Easily able to cater for up to 100 guests, the Gwavas Garden Homestead commercial kitchen is available to hire independently of functions and weddings.

The all weather, self contained kitchen has gas hobs, an electric oven, microwave, fridge and plenty of bench space for food preparation and plating up. Conveniently sited adjacent to the north lawn area, kitchen activity can proceed independently of any meetings or functions within the homestead itself.

Billiard Room

After dinner, why not retire to the billiard room and try your hand at a game of snooker, or just sit in front of the open fire and take in the majestic 1898 totara mantelpiece.
The full size Burroughs and Watts table was ordered from London by ASG Carlyon in November of 1899 and sent by "direct steamer" care of Williams & Kettle in Napier.
