Thank you for considering Gwavas Garden as a venue for your wedding. We would love to share our beautiful garden with you on your special day. If you are looking for a mass of colour the garden is at its peak flowering from late September through to the end of November. The garden continues to provide a glorious setting right through to autumn. There is always something flowering or a waft of perfume in the air and you and your guests are free to wander throughout.
There are a huge variety of locations for wedding photos within the garden.

Below are some guidelines which set out a base from which we can work together to make sure that your wedding arrangements and most importantly your wedding day run smoothly. We are flexible in most areas and are happy to discuss options with you.

Venue Hire: $3000.00
Gwavas Garden is exclusively yours for your wedding day. The venue is also available to you for four days around your wedding date, for the purpose of setting up, rehearsal, and packing up after the wedding day. A set up and clean up fee is included in the venue hire charge.
All costs associated with any marquee hire are the responsibility of the Hirer.


A deposit of $1500.00 is required upon booking and the remainder of the venue fee is to be paid no later than 30 days before your wedding. Gwavas Garden will provide you with a final invoice within a few days after your function. Payment of your final invoice must be paid to Gwavas Garden in full within 10 days following your function. The deposit is fully refundable if the wedding is cancelled more than six months from the wedding date. Cancellation within six months of the booked date will incur the forfeit of $1000 0f the deposit amount.

Bridal Suite
The Swinhoe suite is available to the bride and groom at the discounted rate of $150.00 the night of the wedding, including breakfast.

Beverages
Gwavas Garden is a fully licensed premise and can provide all your beverage requirements. If we provide the beverages we would also provide the glassware. We also allow BYO, if the function is BYO then a corkage charge of $8.00 per person will apply and the hire of the glassware is the responsibility of the Hirer.
We are required to stop serving alcohol at 12am and all guests are required to have departed the venue by 1am. Gwavas Garden will provide 2 bar staff at $20.00 per hour paid for by the Hirer.

Chiller Trailer

As a requirement of the venue hire we hire out our large chiller trailer for $100.00. This to ensure a smooth operation for our bar staff and can also be available for caterers. Any extra chiller hire will also be paid for by the Hirer.

Catering
Gwavas Garden has a fully licensed commercial kitchen and has a list of preferred caterers; all catering costs including crockery and cutlery hire are the responsibility of the Hirer. All crockery, cutlery and glasses must be left clean. Any extraordinary cleaning or damages will be charged to the Hirer.

Tables & Chairs

Gwavas Garden has 50 white plastic chairs available for use, as well as 6 2.4m trestle tables.

Other Equipment Hire
Hire of all other equipment required for the function, is the responsibility of the Hirer. We are happy to liaise with you and any equipment suppliers or to recommend equipment suppliers if required.
At the conclusion of the function all other equipment, and/or items of decoration introduced to the venue must be removed by 12pm the following day, unless special arrangements have been made.

Extra Assistance
We are happy to talk with you about any queries you might have and are able to recommend marquee/party hire suppliers, marriage celebrants, transport companies (buses and wedding vehicles), florists, photographers, bands or DJ's, and local accommodation if required.
